No, thank you!
Find and learn about an organization to which you would like people to donate in lieu of a gift to you. You don't have to tell everyone about it, but keep it in mind in case you need it.

Subscribe
Today's risk is to get connected with the site and the community of fellow Risk-Takers. Utilize one or all of the following methods:
- Subscribe to our FREE email service. In the right column is a place to enter your address to begin receiving ARiskADay in your Inbox every morning.
- Subscribe to the feed with a blog reader/aggregator. I know many of you are a little scared by this one but it's not that technical. If you read several blogs a day, save yourself the time of visiting every site for updates... you can have an online service do it for you. Go to Bloglines or Google Reader and create a FREE account. This will also give you a method to keep track of the blogs written by the Risk-Takers you'll meet on this site.
- If you have a facebook account, join the ARiskADay group. It's just another way to stay connected and accountable.

Define need
Spend a day living on what the average person makes in the developing world (less than $2/day) and put the savings towards a cause of your choice (such as Global Action) OR into your 'Save a Fiver' or missions trip fund.

Comments from "This is Love"
To help grow community at ARiskADay, we are re-publishing comments to "This is Love". We asked folks to "Post a comment on a way you practice or would like to practice love for people", and we heard:
Tip! If you do not wish to have your name shared here or online, please use the 'Anonymous' comment posting feature.
- I want to live in a way that when I see a need I just meet it, rather than thinking I need to think about it, pray about it, analyze it. If Jesus saw that need, he'd meet it, and aren't I supposed to be like Him? He's working on me. (K.)
- I would like to respond to people in love no matter what their response or attitude is toward me. (M.)
- When someone needs something, instead of saying "I'll pray for you," I will help them with what they need. Right now times are hard. If someone can't pay for a bill, instead of only praying for them, I can also help them by alleviating the cost. (K.L.)
- I am struggling to love right now, but I desire to change my heart. I am trying to take myself out of the picture and focus on the needs of others. So hard! (B. and J.)
- I want to talk with people who need someone to talk to, even when that means having to do a LOT of listening! (Anon)
